Fernando Visuet delivered one of his strongest performances of the season at the South Garda Karting circuit in Lonato. The young Mexican driver, racing for MP Gamoto Academy with the support of WYDA (World Young Drivers Academy), was among the fastest drivers in the S125S category throughout the weekend and secured an excellent seventh-place finish in Saturday evening’s final.
After setting the eighth-fastest time in free practice, Visuet qualified 15th out of a 34-driver field. He then confirmed his pace in the two heats, finishing seventh and eighth respectively, which placed him fifth in the overall heats classification.In the final, he once again produced a strong performance, crossing the line in seventh place after battling with the front runners, avoiding mistakes and demonstrating impressive determination throughout the race.
The result at Lonato came just a few days after the ACI Italian Karting Championship round at Val Vibrata on July 25–26, where Fernando had already shown significant progress, narrowly missing out on a place in the final phase.With his performance at Lonato, Visuet further confirmed the impressive development he has made since the start of the season.
He will now enjoy a short summer break before returning to action on August 25 at the Cremona circuit, where he will get behind the wheel of a Formula 4 car as part of a series of single-seater test sessions organised by WYDA to support his transition towards car racing.
