Fernando Visuet heads into another busy weekend as he takes to the track at Sarno from June 26-28 for the third round of the ACI Karting Championship

The event is part of the development programme designed and managed by WYDA (World Young Drivers Academy), which oversees the young Mexican driver’s career.

Two weeks ago, at the Franciacorta round of the IAME Italy Series, Visuet finished 12th in the S125 Senior class with MP Academy Gamoto. After running inside the top ten, a jump-start penalty dropped him down the order, preventing him from securing a stronger result.

Just a few days later, on June 16-17, Visuet returned to the cockpit of a Formula 4 carhaving already enjoyed his first experience at the beginning of May – to complete a two-day testing programme at Italy’s Magione circuit. The test followed an initial introduction to the KZ gearbox kart, as well as intensive and targeted simulator sessions, all forming part of the carefully structured development programme put together by WYDA.

This weekend’s Italian Championship round will see Visuet competing once again in the OK-N category, in which he made his debut earlier this season after already contesting the opening two rounds at Lonato and Muro Leccese. The weekend programme got underway today with the free practice sessions. Qualifying and the opening heats will take place on Friday, with the remaining heats scheduled for Saturday. The pre-final and final races will be held on Sunday.
